About NITI Aayog
The Government of India’s premier think tank for public policy, NITI Aayog is the main organization responsible for promoting cooperative federalism and spurring economic development. NITI Aayog is now led by the Prime Minister, with Suman Bery serving as vice chair. Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitaraman, and Narendra Singh Tomar are the ex-officio members.
About NITI Aayog Internship
The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme is open to researchers and undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in accredited universities and institutions in India and outside. They will collaborate closely with NITI’s cells, divisions, and verticals. Candidates must submit their applications online by completing the registration form.
Purpose
To permit “selected candidates” to have brief experience as interns with various NITI Aayog, Government of India Verticals, Divisions, and Units.

Eligibility Criteria
Authentic students at any accredited university or institution, whether in India or beyond, who meet the requirements listed below are qualified to apply for the internship:
- Undergraduate students who finished their bachelor’s degree program and appeared in the second year/fourth semester term end exams, and who received at least 85% or equivalent in their class 12 grades.
- Graduate students pursuing research or a doctorate who have finished or participated in the term-end examinations of their first year or second semester of their postgraduate program and scored at least 70% or comparable marks in graduation.
- The students who have appeared in the final exam or just completed Graduation/PG and waiting for admission to higher studies may also be considered for internship provided that they have secured 7 or more cumulative marks in all the years/ semesters of their graduation/ post-graduation till the date of application.
- The period between the month of declaration of the result of the final exam and the desired month of the internship should not exceed six months e.g. if the result is declared in the month of June then he/she can apply for the internship beginning till the month of December.
